Koganowsky is an artist of the Austrian Atmospheric Impressionism. He constantly impresses with landscapes flooded with light. Kunsthandel Hieke is always happy to present his large-scale paintings, which often mesmerize the viewer with their strong depth effect.
The many different cities and landscapes of Austria form the themes of his paintings. The often reduced palette reveals a strong desire for harmonic color combinations, with a special consideration for the atmosphere of his representations.
After completing his drawing school education in Odessa, he studied at the Vienna Academy from 1898 under Christian Griepenkerl, and then in Munich under Johann Herterich, Otto Seitz and Heinrich Zügel. He primarily exhibited at the Vienna Künstlerhaus, e.g. in 1907, 1908 and 1909. In 1911, he presented his works at the Kunstsalon Pisko.
